Green Peas Kachori

Green Peas Kachori Hi friends,today I am presenting another easy dish,The Green Pea Kachori. Since green peas are available in abundance during winter months,so this dish is a must at least once,during the season.

Green Pea Kachori

 

Sauteed Peas

Ingredients-

Fresh green peas- 2 cups

Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon

Asafoetida- 1 pinch

Mustard oil- 1 teaspoon

Salt –to taste

Wheat flour –2 cups

Refined Oil for Deep Frying

Method-

Heat the mustard oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it.When they splutter,add the asafoetida and then green peas to it.  Saute the peas for sometime ,then add a pinch of salt to it. Cook for 5 mins and remove from fire. Let the peas cool,then grind them to a fine paste.

Now take the wheat flour and mix it with water,to a fine dough. Take a small ball of the dough and flatten it . Put a spoonful of the peas paste on it as filling, and seal the edges of the dough ball. Now roll out the filled dough ball into small puri. Similarly fill and roll out other puris too. Now heat a pan or tawa, and lightly roast the puris dry,on both sides ,and keep aside. This helps the puris to absorb less oil when they are deep fried later.Roasting them previously also saves time during deep frying.

Roasted Kachoris

Now,heat oil in a  pan,and deep fry the puris on medium heat, ,till they puff up and turn golden brown on both sides.Serve with vegetables of your choice ,or pickles and chutney.
